The good worker is not necessary a hard worker but a smart worker. The essence of being a smart worker is that the worker will be able to achieve more within the limited time and resources at their disposal.
There are six guides to
become a smart worker as follow:
1. Have a definite goal
and narrow down on our focus
With a clear definition of our goal we will focus on what is achievable and possible. The less of our focus and goals are, the more possibility it is for us to
achieve our target. Wider the target more difficult it becomes for it to be
achieved. The number of times spent in putting our priorities right can never
be a wasted time. Set the priorities and targets right it will help us to be a
smart worker.
2. Build only on our
strength and work around our weaknesses
Spend our energy only
on the areas you are good at, and forget those areas we are not good at. Those
areas we are not good at, and which are very instrumental to our success we have to work around to fortify yourself. There is something good in the economy
of comparative advantage.
3. Go on vacations and
practice giving ourselves rewards
It is good we take time off our job and go on
vacation. There should be a time in our routine we should go on break to
refresh ourselves. Have a good treat by ourselves. Do not take the money that we spend on refreshing ourselves as a waste.
4. Create a good working space around us
Surround ourselves with
only those things that will make us succeed in the office and not those things
that will distract us. Always do away with anything that will not aid our
productivity.
